Cavities may occur because of tooth decay. Bacterias can easily multiply in these cavities, and they might be risky for health. With tooth filling treatment, cavities can be treated. To treat a cavity the decayed portion of the tooth is removed under anesthesia. Then the area on the tooth where the decayed material was removed is filled. Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth.
