Non-Surgical Intervention in Obesity: Gastric Botox
Gastric botox is a non-surgical intervention of obesity treatment that is applied endoscopically, aiming to temporarily neutralize the nerves and muscles that affect the stomach's appetite and hunger. It is based on the injection of botulinum toxin to certain parts of the stomach with endoscopic method which is a widely used method recently. It is especially preferred by people with a body mass index below 35 and who do not want to undergo surgery. After an average of 15-20 minutes of application, as the nerves and muscles that affect the stomach's appetite and hunger are inactive for 4-6 months, the duration of satiety is longer, the food is saturated more easily and the weight is lost with less food.
